Please ensure you understand and accept the following before submitting an application. These may sound very formal but their purpose is to avoid any misunderstandings.

1. All participants must accept that the Challenge is UNSUPPORTED. You are traveling at your own risk and we cannot provide you with any support. It is expected that participants will help each other out but this cannot be guaranteed. You are strongly advised to take out travel insurance.

2. All participants must accept that the Challenge is NOT A PACKAGE TOUR. Participants are responsible for ARRANGING and PAYING for their own vehicle, fuel, ferries, local insurance, accommodation, food, visas, camping, repairs, inoculations, flights home etc. etc.

3. All participants must accept that the Challenge is NOT A RACE. There is no recognition or incentive to reach any location first. The Challenge is only suitable for travelers who are self reliant, practical, even tempered and in reasonably good health.

4. All vehicles must be LEFT-HAND DRIVE (checking on this RHD may be acceptable). All vehicles that reach Laayoune MUST BE HANDED OVER to be auctioned.  All the money raised will be distributed to local Morrocan Charities.

5. All participants must understand that they are guests in countries that are very different from their own. In particular they must respect the LAWS and CUSTOMS of their host countries. Road conditions are bad and the standard of driving and maintenance of other vehicles must be assumed to be poor.

6. A team is considered to be ONE VEHICLE and the team members travelling in that vehicle.

7. Successful applications are NON TRANSFERABLE and NON REFUNDABLE after the first pre-departure briefing party.
